Virginia Girls — Flash Nonfiction
2014 was when I met a girl. Her name was Mia, short girl, long curly hair, with a certain outlook on life. There was a mutual friend but soon it was just us. Me and Mia against the world. We disconnected to soon found our ways back to each other, almost like destiny. “Hey, what are you doing tonight?”, I would ask. “In Virginia. Will be back next week”, she would respond. She was always moving around, but the distance never made us any less close. I love my Virginia Girl. 20
